It's been too long.

To make a long story short the hat got finished and I also made one for my son. I have been so busy this summer with bees and making my wild berry jams and jellies to sell at the farmers market that I haven't been able to keep up with this blog. I am going to try to get some picture of all the things that have kept me so busy. I have made some fun projects that I would love to share.

Crazy Hat

This hat is driving me crazy...The large size was enormous on Evelyn...It fit me!...The medium size fit her around but was not long enough...I have ripped it out twice and if it doesn't fit this time. I'm getting a new pattern.

Ear Flap Cable Hat

Now that Evelyn's sweater is done...It is time to make hats! Evelyn and Henry both need new hats and Henry needs mittens. With the temp staying in the 30's I need to get to work.

This hat by request is PINK, strawberry pink! The pattern for this hat is done on straight needles. But if I can I knit in the round. It is done on size 5 dpn. As you can see it has ear flaps and cables. I am making a children's large...but I think my yarn might be a little thinker than what the pattern called for, so it might turn out a little bigger than it should. It is going to be a fun little project.

Finally Finished

I just finished Evelyn's sweater. I have been working on this forever. The pattern is in Debbie Bliss Celtic Knits. It is a well written and easy to follow pattern. I made a size 3 and it fits Evelyn perfectly.
